These terms apply to your use of the Steadied app. By using Steadied, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Steadied is a self-help tool for people trying to stop vaping or using nicotine pouches. It tracks how long you have gone without nicotine, records cravings and check-ins you choose to log, shows you patterns in what you have recorded, and offers a short breathing exercise when a craving hits.
You must be 18 or over to use Steadied. The app is rated 18+ and is not intended for or directed at anyone under 18. By using it you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
Steadied is not a medical device, and nothing in it is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
The recovery milestones shown in the app describe general patterns commonly reported during nicotine recovery. They are not predictions about your body, and everyone's experience differs. Steadied does not diagnose any condition, does not provide treatment, and does not recommend nicotine replacement products, medications or dosages.
Nicotine withdrawal can affect mood, sleep and concentration, and can interact with existing health conditions and medications. If something feels wrong, or if you are unsure whether stopping is safe for you, talk to a doctor, pharmacist or qualified health professional. Do not delay or disregard professional medical advice because of anything you read in this app.
If you are in crisis or need urgent help, contact your local emergency services or a health professional directly. Steadied is not a crisis service and cannot respond to messages.
Steadied offers optional paid subscriptions. Current plans and prices are shown in the app before you buy, and prices vary by country.
Apple is the seller. All subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple as merchant of record, not by us. Your contract for the purchase itself is with Apple, and Apple's terms govern payment, billing and refunds. This is why the points below direct you to Apple rather than to us — it is not us declining to help, it is that Apple holds the transaction and we have no access to it.
Everything you log in Steadied is stored on your own device and is not backed up to any server by us. This is a deliberate privacy choice, and it has a consequence you should understand:

Use Steadied for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, interfere with or disrupt the app, or use it in a way that breaks the law.
We aim to keep Steadied working, but we do not guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or error free. We may update, change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the app entirely, we will give reasonable notice where we can so you can export your data.
Steadied is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that using Steadied will result in you stopping nicotine use, or that any particular outcome will follow from using it.
If you are a consumer, this section does not affect your statutory rights. In the UK, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires digital content to be of satisfactory quality, fit for its purpose and as described, and those rights cannot be excluded. Consumers elsewhere in the EU and in other countries and states keep the equivalent protections their own law gives them. Nothing in this section removes any of them.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights. Everything below is subject to this paragraph.
Subject to the above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising out of your use of Steadied. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to Steadied is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.
We may update these terms. The current version is always at this address, with the date it was last updated at the top. If a change is significant, we will note it in the app. Continuing to use Steadied after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
If you are a consumer, this does not take away rights you have where you live. You keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of your country or state of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts where the law of your country or state gives you that right. Nothing here requires a consumer in the United States, the EU or elsewhere to litigate abroad if their local law provides otherwise.
