Common questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by Steadied, so cancelling happens in your Apple account settings. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then Steadied, then Cancel Subscription. You can also reach this from Settings inside the Steadied app, under "Manage subscription".

Cancelling stops future renewals. If you cancel during a free trial before it ends, you are not charged.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the purchase. We can't issue refunds directly.

I lost my streak / my data is gone

Steadied stores everything on your own phone and never uploads it to a server. That keeps your logs private, but it means we have no copy to restore if the app is deleted or the phone is reset.

To protect your history, use Save a backup in Settings to save a backup file somewhere safe. You can load it back in later.

Where is my data stored?

On your phone only. There is no account and no server. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail of what is stored and what the app sends to third parties.

How do I delete everything?

Settings → Delete my data. This is immediate and permanent. Because there is no server copy, nothing remains anywhere afterwards. Save a backup first if you want to keep a copy.

How do I turn off analytics?

Settings → turn off analytics. The app checks this before any analytics client starts, so nothing is sent once it's off.

I slipped — do I lose everything?

No. Logging a slip restarts the clock but keeps your full history, including your longest previous streak. Nothing is deleted and there's no lecture.

A note on health

Steadied is a self-help tool, not a medical service. It doesn't diagnose anything, doesn't provide treatment, and doesn't recommend nicotine replacement products or dosages. If you're unsure whether stopping is safe for you, or something doesn't feel right, speak to a doctor or pharmacist.
